Hi, I'm Carrie Aalberts, also known as Dementia Darling. With a Master of Science focused in Gerontology and over a decade of experience in dementia care, I'm dedicated to improving the lives of those impacted by dementia.
My journey began when my grandmother was diagnosed, and my father became her caregiver. This experience planted the seed for my passion of supporting caregivers and the dementia community.
As Dementia Darling, I've nurtured a safe space for dementia caregivers online with over 50k followers and counting! I provide education, resources, and encouragement for caregivers. My goal is to enhance quality of life, encourage joy, and challenge the tragic narrative around dementia and aging!
